Uses of Silicon Fiberglass Sleeve

The Silicon fiberglass sleeve is made with a silicon rubber coating that covers an insulating fiberglass sleeve. The silicon glass sleeve does not wear away and perfect for heavy duty applications that need excellent electrical and mechanical properties. The coating plays a very important role in insulation. Being highly insulated and having several mechanical properties, silicon fiberglass is chosen to make power supply wiring, lead protections of transformers or even motor coil leads.

The Silicon fiberglass sleeve expands slightly that enables easy installation, has excessive tear strength, high resistance to weariness and an outstanding flex life. It can resist high temperatures. The sleeves are designed in a way that it can protect the cables in an efficient way. These are made with superior materials to make sure that it can maintain its flexibility in high temperature. The fiberglass sleeves are used in several applications such as marine and aviation fuel, cables and industrial hoses as a protection sleeve. These are available in various color and sizes as well. The different varieties of the fiberglass sleeve are:-

  • H-Class – these are used in domestic appliances and are coated with silicon.

  • F-Class – it is known for being resistant to high-temperature changes and is mostly used in the petroleum industries. It is coated with varnish which makes it last very long.

  • E-Class - It is mostly used for construction, chemical industries, electrical industries and even for oil pipelines.

The varnish fiberglass sleeve is very popular. It is coated with polyurethane varnish and is known for its long-lasting quality.

The sleeves are tested several times before being distributed in the market making it very safe for usage. The uses of these sleeves are diverse and perform efficiently wherever they are used. Being made from superior quality materials, these are highly resistant to several dangers.
